Innnntrrrrooooduuuuciiiiiing Solids!!

Lincoln had his 4 month appointment on Monday.  He continues to be the tiniest little peanut.  He cried the entire time!  Every time we go in there I always feel bad for the parents with a crying baby.  I guess it was only a matter of time before those parents were US!

Lincoln's stats were:
Weight: 13 pounds 5 ounces (12th percentile)
Height: 24 and 3/4 inches (32nd percentile)

And, for the Schultzs' who were worried he may get the "Schultz Head", need not worry as his head is 41.3 centimeters putting him in the 17th percentile.

I was worried he may be too small or not gaining enough weight, but his pediatrician told us not to worry, especially after taking a look at his chubby little thighs.  He has only had breast milk thus far so I thought maybe I'd need to supplement with formula, but he's growing according to the curve and we have nothing to worry about.

The doctor did recommend starting "solids", a.k.a soupy rice cereal, and that's exactly what we did tonight.  And, believe it or not, Lincoln was a trooper!!  He didn't seem too sure of it at first, but after a few tastes, he was anticipating the spoon.  Being the novices that we are, we forgot to put a bib on the poor baby.  Oooops...just goes to show how amateurish we are!  (Pictures from before, during and after.)

We have no other news to report.  Lincoln does so well at day care and the ladies LOVE him.  They really do make us feel like he's their favorite even if it's not true!

Thanks, again, everyone for checking in with us!  (Kirk reluctantly allowed me to put this picture of him and Lincoln on the blog...I think it's adorable!  Hat hair and all!)

  2. How did he grow up so fast! I need to see him ASAP! I love that little left dimple, so stinkin' cute. He's going to be passing up my three in the eating dept. faster than we can blink ;)
