Beach Days
I complain about Kirk's job a lot; the hours, the drive, the hours, the drive... I will admit, though, I love that his job allows us to drive to the lake on a random Friday.

BALLOONFEST!
This weekend was...
Balloonfest!
Such fun! Seeing balloons fly over our house just never gets old.
It's always fun to see the kids see the balloons each year. The balloons never go up every time they are scheduled so the times they do go up, we all get super excited. They went up three times this year: Friday night, Saturday morning and Sunday night.
Before the balloons launched on Friday, we went the carnival. Lincoln's first carnival ride alone. He face, right? I know.
Another first were the sno-cones:
And what we wait for every year, the balloons:
Broom ball (so random):

There were other kid-friendly activities I didn't photograph. Bird feeder making, bubbles, slime. Lots of fun activities for kids.
Saturday night we had a par-tay! It was much different from the last time we had a Balloonfest party in that we had 11 kids here, but it was really fun. The worst part was the balloons didn't launch. We were so bummed. I love that the only picture I have from the night is of one of the hot air balloon cookies.
All the balloons didn't launch Sunday evening, but some did. Lincoln and Kirk walked through the church parking lot to see them.
Another fun Balloonfest in the books!
In other news, Isadora still has her dairy and egg allergies. Total bummer. I was so optimistic this year. It did seem to us the reaction from the needle prick came a little slower this year and it was less red. That gives us hope Isadora will grow out of the dairy allergy sooner rather than later. As far as the egg allergy, the allergist actually thought she passed the test, but when he came back in the last time, he changed his mind. Total bummer.
We have a busy couple months ahead of us! Two weeks of safety camp for Lincoln, vacation, a wedding...I'm stressed thinking how fast this summer is already going! I can't handle it!
I'm pretty sure all three times Lincoln saw balloons this year he was wearing these pjs. And Kirk, yes. The shirt, the farmer's tan. I know, it's too much.
